School trips at Dunfield House
Activities, accommodation and group programmes
As a provider of school group accommodation Dunfield welcomes infant, primary and secondary schools to the centre to run their own programme.
Many of our schools and teachers visit year on year, with two schools recently celebrating their 25th consecutive year of school trips to Dunfield.
Developing Long Term Friendships
We are very proud of the fact that teachers who first came as children now bring their schools for the Dunfield Experience; we also welcome back students who visit year on year with music courses, with Dunfield being a very special part of their lives – We think Joe, who made his 18th visit to Dunfield recently for his schools’ music band camp is probably the record!
We offer a warm and cosy house that becomes your schools’ home for the duration of your visit, providing the setting for children to be children again, so they can explore living in community, sharing rooms and meal times and learning about the relationship they have with the world around them whilst following the programme you have set them.
The house lends itself to educational visits, year group trips, music courses, leadership training and specific courses. We offer plenty of home cooked, wholesome meals for hungry children and adults with hot chocolate for our younger guests and a cheese & biscuit supper for staff each night.
Whether you want to remain onsite to run a specific programme or want to explore the local area the team at Dunfield are happy to share their knowledge and experience with you.
