Sole Use of Dunfield House

Enjoy the flexibility of hiring the whole of Dunfield for your event

At Dunfield House we have two accommodation buildings, the Main House and the Stables, which can be hired if your group requires the sole use of the Dunfield site. When hiring for sole use, the Main House and Stables can only be booked as a catered stay. (see Catering)

In addition the accommodation buildings, we have the following areas/activities: An indoor heated swimming pool, a recreation room for games, rehearsals or meeting space, an outdoor covered seating area, campfire sites, labyrinth, football area with goals, volleyball area with net, 12 basket disc golf course, woodpile for den building, and a list of walks from Dunfield ranging in different lengths and difficulties. Main House

  • The main house sleeps 74 people across 14 bedrooms/2 floors.  These are shared bedrooms with single beds or single bunk beds and every bedroom on the first floor has a wash basin. There are communal showers and toilets that are shared between all the bedrooms. In addition to this Bedroom 1 and 2 have a bath ensuite and Bedroom 6 has a shower en-suite.
  • Below are pictures of Bedroom 2, 6, 8 and the connected rooms on the top floor. These are bedrooms 11-14.

  • There is a lounge with sofas and a fireplace, a chapel with seating for up to 40 (10mx6m) and three dining rooms for your catering/additional meeting spaces. If required these could also be used for meeting spaces but would need to be cleared 30 minutes before meals, ready for the staff to set up.

The Stables

  • The Stables accommodation sleeps 23 people but can sleep up to 27 with the use of 4 pull-out beds in the lounge area.
  • There are 8 bedrooms over 2 floors. Shared bedrooms with single or single bunk beds and every bedroom has a wash basin. The showers and toilets are shared between all the bedrooms. Bedroom 1 can be an optional en-suite or can be locked to be part of the shared bathrooms.
  • In addition to the bedrooms, the Stables accommodation has:
    • Lounge area with sofas, wood burner, TV, and DVD player (no TV channels but a small selection of DVDs are available). 
    • Kitchen with microwave, toaster, 2x 2-ring electric hobs and domestic double oven, under-the-counter fridge, standing fridge freezer, pots pans, plates, bowls etc.
    • Conservatory (6mx3.5m) for dining and activities
    • A private courtyard area, with optional portable fire pit.
    • Outback Gas BBQ that can be hired for a small fee
